my day-to-day thoughts |
the life of a pyunisher |
a fellow graduate once said to me, “my heart beats to the academic calendar.” i think i had college withdrawal for a while and still on on a semester calendar. it was just easier that way and things seemed more organized splitting my year up in 2 parts followed by a summer ‘break’. unfortunately, it’s not like that anymore. now, i’ve split up my year weekly, as each weekend brings friends, cleaning, relaxing, going somewhere, etc. i’m slowly forgetting what it’s like to pack my stuff to head back to school, or coming back to my own room in my apartment after a long day of classes, hanging out (aka eating) with friends and ‘studying’ at the library. it’s a chapter of my life that had lots of fond memories. i encourage all my friends who are still in school, as i have been encouraged, to really cherish it all since it’ll never be the same.
of course, i don’t miss the school part so really, i’m ok with moving on :)
