my day-to-day thoughts |
the life of a pyunisher |
I’ve come to realize that I can’t hold onto the past and it’s all about moving on. Yes, I’ll reminisce about the ‘simple’ days of not worrying about bills or other adult stuff, but I think moving to a brand new city where I don’t know anyone has taught me to just enjoy the present.
Currently, I’m loving everything about the QC and exploring different eateries, of course. Life is finally going full steam and I don’t have time to look back, which is quite a liberating feeling. The hubz and I have so much planned for us this summer, I’m looking forward to yet another whirlwind year.
Who knows where we’ll be in the next 5 years. It might be here or there. But this move has taught me to enjoy the now and stop fretting about the past.
On a random note, we both have been extremely conscious about our gluttonous lifestyle and have taken drastic measures aka just eating smaller portions like crazy! We’ve both become stronger, fitter and hopefully, dropping some lbs. Hubz has a 50mi mountain bike race coming up this fall so while he’s training for that, I’m training for a future triathlon, come 2012 (can’t believe that’s next year!). So exciting!!!
