my day-to-day thoughts |
the life of a pyunisher |
this has been the year of my life, one of which i will never forget…
it started off with one of the best semesters of college. continual encouragement from friends, lots of girl time involving lots of food, and of course, slacking off completely. looking back, i miss those days of not having a care in the world and constantly seeing familiar faces. i miss my state girls. they got me through everything. they were my little sisters. and i’m so glad i wasn’t as consumed as i could have been to anything else but spending time with them.
on that note, another new experience was wedding planning. it taught me to organize like none other. and it also made me realize that it’s seriously all about the money in the wedding industry.
this summer was a whirlwind for me. i graduated from college, i got married, i moved into my ‘newlywed’ place, and found a big girl job. and in between all that, i’ve matured a great deal.
just a few things i’ve realized:
-it’s harder than ever to stay connected to friends (especially if you’re far away), let alone make new ones.
-no one is there to lecture you anymore, so make the right decisions the first time.
-i have a husband…take care of him!
-there is not enough time in one day…make the weekends count.
-sanitize a stinky and nasty kitchen sponge by nuking it in the microwave for a min. smells fresh and won’t leave bacteria on your dishes.
-celebrating the simple things in life make it bright.
-most importantly, you have to stay passionate for Christ, or else none of this world matters.
